ABSTRACT:
The members of the Rivulidae family are mostly seasonal fish, and can be found throughout America, with four genera and twenty-four species in the state of Minas Gerais. This work aimed to evaluate the state of conservation of the Rivulide species occurring in Minas Gerais State, and the sites where they occur through secondary data and bibliographic review. Sixteen species appear on at least one of the lists of threatened species: from ICMBio or the Ministério do Meio Ambiente. The biggest threat to the clade is the loss of habitat. As they are extremely sensitive to environmental changes, the pressure caused by urban and rural expansions is the main threat to all species studied. Key words: Rivulidae, Conservation, Minas Gerais
